Learn the NEW Works

Learn about all of the different art, music, science, and creative projects that will be available at the Music and Art House. This will be centered around all of the new activities, so if you attended in March, you should come again and learn the new stuff.  If you missed March, I will also do a quick rundown of what is already available to you.

There will also be snacks and everyone will have a few art projects to take home with them.

Friday, June 7 2-5pm

I will teach everybody what they need to know to be able to do the projects independently when they are waiting at the music house. These are things that they could come and do if they are early. Or if a parent is running errands and wants to pick up an hour or two after the lesson. Even if siblings are not current students, I encourage them to join in the fun. They can learn everything so that they can enjoy these projects during their sibling’s lesson.

Cost is $25 to attend. each additional sibling will get $5 off.

This is for all ages. I would love for teens to be there to learn the activities I have developed for them but also to be able to babysit the younger students in the future and work with them on their own activities.

This method that I am developing is based on my experience teaching at a Montessori school in Virginia. The idea is that each student would be introduced to a different "work" (activity, art project, etc.) and then be able to work on them independently with minimal questions of the teacher.

My dream with the music and art house is for students to be able to be there for many more hours than just their lesson. Doing creative, interesting, social, and educational things.
