Holiday Ensemble Group
Every year, during the week before Christmas break, I organize a nursing home “tour”. Every afternoon/evening there will be a performance at a local nursing home. All students are invited to perform at any and all of these. Residents love seeing students, and they also love singing along.
For this year, I am organizing a Holiday Ensemble Group. This is a very low commitment group that will only require a couple of practices ahead of the performances. You only need to plan on one performance.
There are a few reasons behind this. I know that a lot of you would like to have a little less stress surrounding performing, one way to do that is by playing in a group. This is a great way to improve your listening, rhythm, and improv skills. It is also fun, and a wonderful way to relax and use your skills in a different setting than solo performance.
This is open to all ages, experiences and instruments. I would love to have some students who would like to sing (even if they don’t do voice lessons) to help with sing alongs.
There is no cost and is open to all current students and their family members. So, if you want to join in and do some caroling, strum a ukulele, or shake a maraca, don’t hesitate!
